The Barney E. Veal Center is a Community facility and special needs shelter providing centralized services and programs that support the dignity and independence of seniors and a quality life for all generations. All amenities are open to the public. Call 407-846-8532 for more information.

  • Clyde’s Café – informal eatery with daily specials, sandwiches, soups, salads, and refreshments.
  • Conference & Catering Center – multi-purpose banquet rooms and meeting space for special events, workshops, birthday parties, weddings, and corporate retreats.
  • Resource Library – access to free publications, internet, and the Department of Children and Families ACCESS on-line application system
  • Senior Center – recreational programs including  dancing, yoga, Tai Kwon Do, bridge, dominos, support groups, Zumba classes, and more.
    SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) – state health insurance assistance, education and counseling to Florida elders, caregivers and family members.
  • Music – Country Music held weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m to 10 p.m.

The Barney E. Veal Center, a multi-generational complex and the home of the Osceola Council

on Aging, is equipped with a stylish conference room along with beautiful banquet and meeting

space. It can be designed to facilitate your needs from Birthday Parties, Galas, Wedding receptions, Business Meetings, Corporate Retreats and Holiday Parties.

Room Rates for weekends (Friday and Saturday) are as follows:

*$950.00 per room; this includes the tables, chairs, set and clean up fees for an eight to ten hour time span. * *For 5 hours or less hourly rates are available at $100 per hour per room plus $65 per room clean up fee. This must include the set up and break down time.

*The room capacity varies upon seating; if you need round tables that seat 8 or if you need theater style seating (no tables); and if a dance floor is required.  If you need a dance floor and seating, each room will seat 80-90 guests.  If you do not need a dance floor the room will accommodate 96-110 guests.  Additional setups for seminars, presentations and other functions are available on an individual basis.

*We offer catering services and linen rental. If you use our catering you will receive a 20% discount on room rates.

*A non-refundable security deposit of $200.00 is required to hold the date and a refundable damage deposit is also required.

*You are allowed to bring in your own caterer; however there is no kitchen available and there will be a surcharge.  No alcohol is allowed in the building without a pre-approved third party vendor with appropriate license and liquor liability insurance.

*AV system is available at an additional charge of $85 for ½ day and $165 for full day un-manned.

*Payment in full is required 10 business days before event date.

*$80.00 per hour must include set up and break down time. If on a weekend, please add $65 clean up fee.

Notes:

*Round tables are 60 inch and will seat max of 8 guests

*Rectangle tables are 6 foot tables

*Nothing may be pinned, taped or attached to walls, doors or ceilings

*No smog machines are allowed (will set off fire suppression system)

*No glitter machines/glitter guns/silly string or confetti is allowed on the inside of the building

*In the event of emergency or natural disaster, events may be postponed or cancelled

*No alcohol in building or on premises, this includes champagne toast, beer and/or wine.

*Adult supervision of all children is required at all times

*Room rates and availability are subject to change without notice.
