Health Clinic

A free health clinic for those individuals of Osceola County who are uninsured.

Our Mission

The Osceola Council on Aging Health Clinic works with volunteers and partnering healthcare providers to deliver quality healthcare, prevention, education, specialist referrals, referrals to community social services, and case management services to the underserved and uninsured residents in Osceola County.

In addition to our on-site clinic in Kissimmee, we’re proud to partner with St. Thomas Aquinas to operate a free clinic on Wednesdays. As insurance and medical care costs can be quite the burden, we aim to be an equalizing body ensuring that all can receive the medical treatment that they need.

Our clinic is staffed by medical professionals, just as any other primary care office. In fact, many local doctor’s volunteer their time at the clinic, to make sure you can stay healthy. Some common health issues seen in our clinic include hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, and asthma.

National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics

The Osceola Council on Aging has earned a 2022 Gold Rating from the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC) Quality Standards Program. By self-attesting that the organization has certain policies and procedures in place, it is able to highlight its commitment to providing quality care to patients.

The National Association of Free and Charitable Clinic’s mission is to ensure the medically underserved have access to affordable healthcare. The NAFC and its members are dedicated to ensuring that patients receive quality healthcare. To quantify and qualify the care provided at the Free and Charitable Clinic network, the NAFC formalized a set of Quality Standards for member organizations.

Clinic Sites/Hours

The Osceola Council on Aging is blessed to have over fifty volunteers that participate regularly in the clinic’s work.  These volunteers are the backbone of our mission, and ensure our patients are able to be seen.  Although we are always grateful for our current volunteers, we are always seeking to add more medical professionals to our clinic, to help extend our services.

Both of our clinics are partnered with Prescriptions Unlimited and utilize prescription assistance programs to make sure our patients are able to receive the medications that they are prescribed under our care, at the lowest cost.
