The Council on Aging Board of Directors and Administrative Staff would like to thank the OCOA staff for your tireless work and dedication to the seniors, disabled adults and needy families in Osceola County. The Osceola Council on Aging is an amazing group of dedicated individuals making a difference every day in the lives of people we serve. 2019 was a year filled with challenges for both our community and our staff along with a change of leadership here at the Council on Aging.
I look forward to meeting them hand in hand with all of you. Today, the Spirit of Hope shines thorough. Wishing you all the best in 2020.
On behalf of all of our seniors, THANK YOU from the Council on Aging for your generosity and caring.

Contact a SHINE Volunteer with your Medicare Questions
Due to the delicate nature of the services we provide, the clients we serve, our unique volunteer corps., and staff, the decision has been made to cancel all SHINE/SMP participation in in-person counseling until further notice. SHINE volunteers and staff will continue to provide counseling services, but they will be conducted over-the-phone. This will allow us to continue to provide services to those who need us, in a way that ensures the safety of our volunteers, clients, and local staff.
To learn more, speak with a local Medicare counselor provided to you by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs’ SHINE Program. For assistance, contact the Elder Helpline at 1-800-963-5337, or visit www.floridashine.org.
